1941, England. While there is a bloody war going on all over the world, the famous theater continues to exist here, which is engaged in staging plays based on Shakespeare. Despite the situation, there are no fewer visitors to the theater, because this is the only entertainment for many that distracts from the difficulties of life. It is here that people forget about the grief that war brings. Soon all the actors went to the front, and the only one who remained was a talented, but no longer young Sir. He already has almost no strength to tour and please his fans, and he began to have problems with his memory, which made it harder for him to remember the lyrics. <br />

Norman, the dresser, always comes to Sir's aid. He has been accompanying the only theater actor on tour for many years, but all current performances depend on him. The premiere production of the play "King Lear" is due to take place soon. But the whole problem is that Sir is not confident in his own abilities. Texts are difficult for him, and he himself is already beginning to get confused in space and time. The whole action is on the verge of collapse, the main actor is no longer able to even get up from his seat, but Norman cannot allow this. He will do everything to make his favorite actor appear on stage and create a miracle, but how to do it? Will Norman be able to help Sir play the most important role for him in his entire life?<br />
