The first trolleybus in Russia

Everyone has long been accustomed to using trolleybuses, not realizing that this vehicle was born thanks to the hard work of designers and engineers. This environmentally friendly transport has firmly entered people's lives. The idea of powering vehicles through electricity has long been in the minds of engineers. The German designer Wilhelm Simenson, who lived in Great Britain in 1880, was the first to make calculations and tried to put into practice a current-powered machine. But even before him, his brother also became interested in such a means of transportation and worked on it. As a result, the first trolleybus appeared, which began to produce passenger transportation in Germany.Russia's first trolleybus was constructed only in 1902. The company "Freze and K" worked on its creation, which was engaged in the development and rental of cars and crews. This joint-stock company was founded by a domestic designer who managed to produce the first Russian car, P. A. Freze, who lived in 1844-1918. It should be noted that in 1900 he was able not only to develop, but also to introduce into production the first gasoline-powered cars of the same name. 2 years later, the engineer showed them near Kursk at military exercises. In the same year, his company launched the production of trucks, and exactly a year later buses. Everyone liked all this miracle for Russia.Testing of the Russian trolleybus took place in St. Petersburg on 13.04.1902. The amazing car was nicknamed the "electric car". The weight of the device was about 0.82 tons. The electric motor was designed and made according to the design of Baron Schulenburg. This engine ran exclusively on electric current, did not require refueling and could be easily repaired. Simplification also occurred in the design of the "electric bus" itself, which made it much cheaper in cost. The trolleybus was controlled by the steering wheel without problems and complaints. The path of the car consisted of an ordinary road. The current collectors worked on the basis of the system of the French engineer Lombard-Gerin - the contact base moved along the wires. There were many articles about this innovation in print publications, which talked about a wonderful car powered by electricity. The novelty began to be massively used in cities only after 30 years… Самые дешёвые авиабилеты
